SDOC has been carefully developed over the last few years to provide GPs with the delivery of Out of Hours
srvices for patients when their own practice is closed.
SDOC works in partnership with Take Care Now Ltd (TCN) by supplying local GPs for the OOH services. Nearly 200 GPs are actively involved in this.
 Suffolk Doctors on Call was setup 12 years ago
to provide innovative Out-of-Hours Unscheduled Care to the patient population of Suffolk. SDOC was developed alongside the
National Health Service (NHS) within the UK and, as such, has formed a unique synergy with the needs of local PCTs as they strive
to provide the very best service for their communities.

The Board's vision of SDOC is as a dynamic organisation largely concerned with education in the unscheduled care system.
It is keen to encourage doctors who are willing to undergoe education and improve their skills to join SDOC.
The SDOC Board committed to designing other ways/models of delivering out of hours care.
